Subject: Youth Development through Sports – Australian School’s Cricket Team Vs. Indian Schools Cricket Team – Commonwealth Cricket Series.

This is to inform the Commonwealth fraternity that the Commonwealth Youth Sports Development Council is organizing a Commonwealth Cricket Series between Australian and Indian Schools Cricket Teams from 26th September to 7th October 2009. The Australian team will be raised by the Australian Governmental organization – School Sport Australia and the Indian team will be raised by the Ministry of Sports affiliated body the School Games Federation of India. The participating youth will be exposed to high quality Cricket Series and Youth Development Programs on subjects such as Aids Awareness, Environment, Health Care & Hygiene organized in association with the Commonwealth Youth Program, Asia Center, falling under The Commonwealth Secretariat. The matches will be played at Delhi and Chandigarh.

FEDERATION OF INDIAN CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (FICCI) TO CO-HOST THE COMMONWEALTH CRICKET SERIES.

India’s apex body comprising of top Captains of Industries and representing the top line Indian Industries has decided to work on and support the cause of sports. Nothing could be better than to take part at the grass root level. FICCI has decided to Co-Host the Commonwealth Cricket Series being organized by the Commonwealth Youth Sports Development Council between Indian and Australian National Cricket Teams from 26th September to 7th October 2009 at Delhi and Chandigarh.

The School Sport Australia Executive Secretary – Cricket announced the Australian Schools Cricket Team to tour Indian from 26th September to 7th October 2009.
